
Dick and Perry set off after in their stolen car in hopes to find a place to work with good pay and a nice place to stay.

They found themselves in Las Vegas, Nevada

When Perry arrived in Las Vegas, he went to the post office to collect his personal belongings that he had shipped there. All he had were a couple of t-shirts, his boots, and some letters from his father.
Being tipped about the stolen car that the killers were driving, they brought them in.

While in the interrogation room, the men thought that they were merely there for a parole-violation.

As soon as the detective mentioned the Clutters, the men got tense. Both Perry and Dick confessed to killing the family.

They were arrested....


In court, they were not given a life sentance in jail because most of the time in Kansas, that meant 15 years and then parole. These men were given the death sentance.

After many years in jail, finalizing their trial, the men were hung on April 14, 1965.
